Video Chat Rules of Conduct
- Do not show disrespect to other chat users. It is forbidden:
- to use profanity, vulgar language, disruptive or hostile comments;
- to behave intolerantly or discriminatorily towards other users, whatever their nationality, race, religion, gender or age;
- to threaten or insult the people you are chatting with.
- Do not behave indecently. It is forbidden:
- to show a bare chest without showing your face;
- to offer virtual sex;
- to use words and phrases with an obscene sexual connotation;
- to chat naked or in underwear only;
- to display your genitals or other intimate body parts;
- to touch your genitals, even through clothing;
- to aim the camera below chest level (your face should stay in the frame at all times);
- to take any action that could be construed as obscene.
- Do not show anything other than your own live image. It is forbidden:
- to aim the camera at a monitor or any other screen;
- to aim the camera at photos or printed pictures;
- to aim the camera at printed or handwritten text;
- to use webcam emulators;
- to hide your face behind masks, balaclavas, dolls, or other objects. The camera must be aimed at your real face.
- Do not spam. It is forbidden:
- to display advertising images or write advertising messages;
- to insert external links of any kind into text messages;
- to send bulk text messages;
- to manipulate accounts or engagement;
- to ask other users to perform certain actions online: to vote, take a survey, visit a website, and so on.
- How complaints work:
- Any video chat user can report the actions of another user. A moderator reviews the report and decides whether a ban is warranted. Reports are handled by moderators on duty at any hour of the day or night.
- When complaints against the same person arrive from many different users, the ban is applied automatically. The complaint mechanism weighs a number of factors, which helps prevent erroneous bans.
- Restrictions based on age:
- You may use our service only if you have reached the age of majority in your country.
- If the law of your country treats you as a minor, you must not use the chat. Permission or supervision from a parent or guardian changes nothing.
- If, in your opinion, a user of the video chat may be underage, please report them — our moderators will restrict their access to the service.
- Do not interfere with how the service works. It is forbidden:
- to run the chat through third-party programs, browser extensions, plugins, bots or scripts that change the way it behaves;
- to use anything that could put other users' devices, personal data or rights at risk.
We take action against violators by every means available to us, and your reports make that work faster: each one helps us make the video chat a more pleasant and enjoyable place to talk.
These rules apply from the moment you open a video chat connection. Continuing to use the service means that you accept them in their current form, and we may revise them whenever this proves necessary.
